Walgreens
Walgreens must be run by committee. What they need is a leader.
Who else
is it worth addressing the letter writing campaign to?
This is of course
not as inportant as the pharmacist's dilemma, but Walgreens started asking for
I.D. for all purchasers of tobacco products regardless of age. Then they would
enter the Zip Code into the Cash Register for marketing purposes. Very
condescending I think.
I suspect Walgreens has lost their leadership
staff, and is being run by committee. That would be a bad place to be working,
with as much chance at future success as the Russian economy. I would like to
see them crumble, so we could get some decent compitition here locally.

The firing of four Illinois-based Walgreens pharmacists over their failure to dispense abortion drugs, has sparked a call for a nationwide boycott of the drugstore, and gained the backing of a local Catholic diocese.
The Diocese of Belleville, IL, led by Bishop Edward Braxton, has announced its support for a boycott of the Chicago-headquartered pharmacy, and its implementation of a letter-writing campaign asking local Catholics to do the same.
