Muslim theologians

It occurs to me that besides the beheadings and sex with virgins in heaven, I have been looking for some basic link to the muslims, since they consider us People of the Book. Here are some Muslim theologians (never heard that title before) talking about something we should be able to agree on.

"The Constitutional Court judgment on same sex marriages is a step backward which will have serious repercussions on the moral and social fabric of society, the (South African) Council of Muslim Theologians says. "

"Same sex marriages are a violation of the limits prescribed by the Almighty, a reversal of the natural order, a moral disorder and a crime against humanity."

So far so good... then..

"No person is born homosexual, just like no one is born a thief, a liar or murderer. People acquire these evil habits because of widespread nude and shameless social interaction."

This probably fits in nicely with the sterile public life they often demand.

So I see that they have no concept of Original Sin, because I was born with the seeds of all vices. Really, without knowing how we began how can we understand anything?

I suppose if their main tenent is "submit", we can find some commonality there. But how could we ever together recognize even a little the same Person we are submitting to? Pope John Paul II was warm to the Muslims, but I wonder what he was really thinking.

Remember Jews-for-Christ? It sounds so far fetched to look for a Muslims-for-Christ group.
Besides the fact that would merit their death penalty.
